Wild poop stinks.
It’s squishy and filled with icky things like hair, bones and skulls. But in the animal kingdom, scat is way more than undigested remains.
For a deer, poop is social media. To a dung beetle or a worm, it’s a bowl full of multivitamins. Poop is disguise for a spider to escape predators. For a hoopoe, it’s a way to protect her chicks.
One little plop of poop can save our planet and send adults scurrying out of the room with disgust. Now that’s what we call pooptastic. Are you ready to dive (noses pinched shut) into dung?
